DRESSING UP JANUARY!

Happy New Year!
Karen here with a calendar panel thats easy!

I used some cute left over scraps and made the bg.
Instead of making strips of paper for the layers I've used Rainbow Tape! The Metallic Purple 1/8" and Silver 1/32" gives it just a little shimmer! I love how easy the White Crepe Tape is to color with Copics. This is a great way to insure that your elements match perfect with your colored images.

Speaking of images...How adorable are these from IO!
Here is a closer look at the Rainbow Tape.

Tinsel Trees by Karen Amidon

Hello! Karen here back with another fun way to dress up those Christmas cards using Rainbow Tape!

Today I am showing another way to use your Rainbow Tape. Here I have used the Christmas Tree Cutout Die from Impression Obsession and also I made a tree from three triangles!

For this layer, I have used the 1/32" and the 1/8"  Silver Metallic Rainbow Tape to make the decorative lines.

Using the 1/32" Silver Metallic Rainbow Tape, I have crisscrossed the tape to decorate the trees. I cut this layer with the Nesting Frame 7 die. Next, I embossed the layer with TE Snowfall embossing folder. I added Silver Metallic tape along the bottom of the three triangles. The third tree was popped up in front of these two. I went back over the snowfall embossing and highlighted the dots with glitter.

Tangled Tinsel by Karen Amidon

Looks like this kitty has gotten tangled in the tinsel!

Who knew the Silver Metallic Rainbow Tape would be ideal for creating tinsel! I had fun tangling the teeny tiny 1/32" tape around this adorable kitty!

On the inside of the card I repeated the 1/32" Silver Metallic tape for my tinsel.
The top and bottom of the die cut are trimmed with the 1/8" silver metallic tape. love that shine!

Rainbow Tape comes in several different colors and sizes. To see more designs using their tapes you can visit the DT Blog here.

TRICK OR TREAT!

TRICK OR TREAT!

Happy Halloween! Karen here with a shaker card to share with you today.
Love those thin lines you can get with  Rainbow Tape!
I have used the 1/32" in black for the tiny edge around the lavender paper.
A single line of tape was also used along the bottom of the white layer to anchor her.

OCTOBER HOPE

Happy Friday! Karen here with a card of hope for a special friend.

I have used very subtle lines of Rainbow Tape in white on the background.

A Splash of watercolor in pink was put down first. Diagonal lines of Rainbow Tape were next. Using a stencil, Texture paste was smoothed on over the tape. After letting the paste dry, I added more tape.

The Hope and Ribbon die cuts are from Serendipity.

Today I am sharing with you a card using RainboTape to highlight strong lines for the background. The ColorBurst layer was cut on the diagonal and trimmed with Gold 1/8" Rainbow Tape. I shadowed the Nativity Lantern Die using gold mirror card stock. Heavenly Peace was stamped in champagne metallic ink.

MONSTER MASHING with RAINBOW TAPE by Karen Amidon

These guys are doing the monster mash with Rainbow Tape!
This tape comes in either a Crepe or Metallic and several different colors and widths. It colors beautifully, it sticks and it's easy to reposition!

Today I'm having some fun with Monsters, the good kind!

I played around with some paper scraps and came up with this design.
The tape has been run along the lines of the edges of the paper which makes the design come to life!

COLOR MY WORLD!

It's a RainboTape day!
I love how Jenny colored the tape with Copics last week, so I thought that I would give it a try. WOW! The tape really picks up the color smoothly and easily!

I went with a rainbow palette and started coloring some tape with Copics.
I wanted to create something clean and simple.

First I cut out three triangles on a 4 x 5 1/2  sheet of Neenah.

The colored strips of tape were placed onto the paper following the angle of the penciled triangle. Black tape was used to fill in the corners of the rainbow.

You can go here to see the details of my project.
