Define the edges with Rainbow Tape!

Jenny here today!
I thought I'd share an easy butterfly card with you.
Black, White and Bold color always make a good combo for any card.
Rainbow Tape extras give it a little extra oomph!

I used Copics to color the image. And then I framed it with rectangle die cuts. I added Rainbow Tape to the frames.. black and white. It gives it just a little bit of extra POP and defines the edge! I used the 1/16" widths for both cards.

Perfect Finishing Touches

Hi - Lydia here.

When I've spent tons of time on a beautiful, handmade card, the last thing I want to do is put it in a boring envelope for its trip to a friend. Since I don't have the gift of beautiful lettering, I have to embellish my envelopes another way.

My signature color is blue, and so I bought these gorgeous Audrey Blue envelopes and jazzed them up with metallic tape for cards during the month of December to add some holiday sparkle. My favorite is the 1/16th silver to go with the blue - but the wider taps are nice on the edges and on the flaps as well. It makes an ordinary envelope look very high end. You can also create a metallic box for the address portion of the envelope.

It's a simple, quick touch, but it adds a lot of elegance to your envelopes.

One tip on placement - use grid paper under your envelope to ensure straight lines.

What I love most about by Giovana Smith

Hello friends!! Giovana here today with a coffee & Christmas card, perfect to just add a gift card form your favorite coffee shop and you are done!!

For this project I used a leftover piece from this card, I used the 1/32" Silver Metallic Tape, added to top and bottom.

I added a snowflake-like clear background , I also added the 1/32" Silver Metallic Tape to the edge of the Merry Christmas paper. Stamped the coffee sentiment on a piece of vellum  and then added a couple of coffee wood veneer cups. Super cute!!

 Hope you like it!
Have a fantastic day!!

Tinsel Trees by Karen Amidon

Hello! Karen here back with another fun way to dress up those Christmas cards using Rainbow Tape!

Today I am showing another way to use your Rainbow Tape. Here I have used the Christmas Tree Cutout Die from Impression Obsession and also I made a tree from three triangles!

For this layer, I have used the 1/32" and the 1/8"  Silver Metallic Rainbow Tape to make the decorative lines.

Using the 1/32" Silver Metallic Rainbow Tape, I have crisscrossed the tape to decorate the trees. I cut this layer with the Nesting Frame 7 die. Next, I embossed the layer with TE Snowfall embossing folder. I added Silver Metallic tape along the bottom of the three triangles. The third tree was popped up in front of these two. I went back over the snowfall embossing and highlighted the dots with glitter.

Thanks for looking!

Tangled Tinsel by Karen Amidon

Looks like this kitty has gotten tangled in the tinsel!

Who knew the Silver Metallic Rainbow Tape would be ideal for creating tinsel! I had fun tangling the teeny tiny 1/32" tape around this adorable kitty!

On the inside of the card I repeated the 1/32" Silver Metallic tape for my tinsel.
The top and bottom of the die cut are trimmed with the 1/8" silver metallic tape. love that shine!

Rainbow Tape comes in several different colors and sizes. To see more designs using their tapes you can visit the DT Blog here.

Winter Bird by Jenny Gropp

Hello! Jenny here sharing an easy card!

No coloring today. Just pretty paper dressed up with a little

Here's my stack of stuff before I assembled it all and added foam tape for dimension. You can see the shiny silver edges. I used the very thinnest tape. The 1/32" size. It adds such a delicate edge. I can't
cut a layer that tiny and get it straight!

More Rainbow Tape lines the edge of the Stitched Frame Die on the inside.

Thankful for You by Jeanne Streiff

I love fall colors and nothing sets them off better that a touch of gold. Today I used 1/16" gold metallic tape to accent my sentiment.

I watercolored a splashy image (see colors below). After it was completely dry I stamped my sentiment with black ink.

I inked up my leaf stamps in orange (Spiced Marmalade) and then tapped in a bit of deep red Aged Mahogany) ink randomly before stamping. Because it was on watercolor I needed to stamp more than once to get a nice solid image. I kept going stamping leaves until I had framed the sentiment.

I finished my card by adding some 1/16" gold metallic tape from Hobby Tape under the sentiment words and adhering the panel to a kraft card base.

Merry Christmoose!

Hi - Lydia here today! I discovered something so fun through a mistake that I had to try to reproduce it.

I noticed that when I was using crepe tape on an uneven surface, as a mask, that - well, it didn't work :). BUT, it did something very cool - it pooled  and intensified the color under the tape, and sort of left a ghostly image of the tape in its place after it was removed. I never consider an accident a finished experiment until I can reproduce it, so I tried again. I used watered down Golden Fluid Acrylic paint, and 1/4" crepe tape to create vertical and horizontal stripes on Canvas Paper. Even if you press the tape firmly down, it won't adhere to the primed canvas, but it will preserve the shape of the masked areas in a really cool way. All supplies are linked below.

I thought that bright splash of pink brought some holiday cheer!

Ruff Day Treat Bag

Jenny here today!

Know someone having a Ruff Day? Cheer them up with a little treat bag full of their favorite candies. The Crazy Dogs plus chocolate is a guaranteed smile!

Black Rainbow Tape is a staple that just resides on my desk permanently. It's the perfect little divider between layers or patterns. I love a clean black line! You can see it below on my doggie bag dividing the plaid and the paw print embossed paper. I used the 1/8" width, which is probably my most used along with the 1/16" size.

Here's a LINK to all the black tape sizes!

Copics used to color him up: W9, W4, Y26, R59, R29, E47, E44, E43, E40
A little glossy accents on the nose and eyes livens him up a bit!
